Cascade Clamps - Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine shop hiring just four people. Overall sales for that year totaled 60 thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and different components. Through 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to forty staff and their yearly sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Now, Cascade is one of the top international producers in the material handling business.

Design and manufacturing of the company's very first hydraulic cylinder allowed this new business to aggressively engage in new business opportunities. Throughout the last 60 years, the trade of material handling has grown into a very complex field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its growth. Cascade presently continues to develop as the leader supplier of forklift attachments and numerous related products. The business feels certain in their potential to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's requirements in the future and remaining aggressive in the world market.

In the nineteen fifties, Cascade started designing, making and selling hydraulic accessories. Construction was completed in 1956 on a new facility to accommodate all the plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. Subsequent to 15 years of business, total employees reached 180 workers and sales had reached practically two million three hundred thousand dollars.

The next manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Costa Mesa. 1960 marked Cascade's initial transfer into the international world of the material handling industry while the company recognized interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

In 1964, the company changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. Then in the year 1965, the business went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing amenities throughout the continental USA to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already current plants in Springfield, Costa Mesa and Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are manufactured worldwide because of lots of subsidiary operations. In 1994, a new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This plant is made to be the essential customer service centre.

Continuing to grow, Cascade expanded their product offering further in the year 1996 and 1997 with the remarkable acquisition of five corporations, together with the global best in blades, the Kenhar Corporation.
